Meet
Taushauna Mazzuca

Taushauna worked in the heavy civil construction industry for 18-years, with a boutique consulting firm called Isherwood Associates. There she was a senior executive and stakeholder and played a significant role in the company's growth from 16 to 55 employees. She was mentored by giants in the industry, including Brian Isherwood, Nadir Ansari, Dawn Tattle and Alan Macnab who all gave poignancy to the critical nature of quality, simplicity and relationships.

Throughout her invigorating tenure, Taushauna's broad experience included managing and designing more than 100 excavation support projects, three notable projects being Bolsover Dam Replacement, reputed as Isherwood's riskiest project, 501 Yonge which twinned the TTC Yonge line and presented unique constructability challenges and is incorporated into the Little Canada exhibit in downtown Toronto, and finally managing a largescale lawsuit filed against the company for an unnamed project. Taushauna is an active member of the Women of the Deep Foundations Institute (WiDF) Mentoring Pods

There are few aspects of the business that Taushauna didn't carry-out or impact directly: talent acquisition & mentoring, operations, leading engineering teams, corporate change management, sales, risk management, client relations team-building, educational presentations to industry stakeholders, process improvement, and overall company strategy.

12-years ago, during a Professional Development retreat, Taushauna realized the necessity of self-leadership. This began a search for quality understanding and tools which she applied to projects and life and was repeatedly inspired by the results at work. When she became a mother of 3, she realized the necessity of these tools - to allow for the family to thrive and grow, at work and at home. She thought, All Working Parents need this. All industries need this.

She realized our industries, our schools, our parents, our children need universal understanding and tools in the ways of leadership, to positively impact many of today's challenges. So, she stepped away from Isherwood, and Pillar Point was born.
